After a most successful 2008 on the occasion of Musterring's 70th anniversary in Germany, this year is especially dedicated to the international business.
There are several reasons for the growth within Germany as there is a whole number of important new furniture retailers and a larger and clearer branding of Musterring floor spaces within the showrooms. Besides that especially the living and dining room, as well as the upholstery collection has been enforced and a new collection for a younger generation under a second brand "set one by Musterring" has been presented for the first time and gained more than 80 retail partners right from the beginning, following the concept of presenting an average of 150 sqm.
Inspite of the actual worldwide financial crisis and the difficulties with direct exports Musterring is extremely successful with the different ways of approaching the Asian markets.
First of all, we are proud to announce the seventh real Musterring Studio in cooperation with Magical Furniture Group in Taiwan. This license partner is the sole agent of original Musterring products in this country and importing all our products from Germany to show them in his own stores for the Taiwanese market. Doing this we, together with the Magical Furniture Group, became one of the best known furniture brands in Taiwan, concentrating on the direct import of the Musterring collection. Secondly Musterring just finalized a licence agreement one month ago, with the company IYOBE Co., Ltd. in Tokyo for the Japanese market. This partner also imports original Musterring upholstery products and parts of the set one by Musterring collection. On one side in order to sell the original product and on the other side, to adapt successful designs to Japanese requirements and measurements. Iyobe is already working with all important retail companies in Japan and also handling a lot of excellent connections with different other manufacturers from different Asian countries. These connections also will be used to develop a successful Musterring business in Japan and, if possible, with other affiliated Musterring countries.
The third major decision has to do with the company Stylution in Dongguan/China, already an existing licensed partner of Musterring for production of mattresses and upholstery beds. On the occasion of the last Dongguan fair, Musterring decided to extend this license production with upholstery design, specifically for the Chinese market and limited for sales within the Chinese market. Stylution, represented by Mr. Jack Chen, also has the possibility to import original German Musterring designs for China only and besides that, to complete this collection with commonly agreed designs for production licensed by Musterring. These products are offered under the number range MR 8000 and, to emphasize this once more, are not part of the international Musterring collection and will not be available in other countries outside of mainland China. This is to specify some news of the Chinese media on the occasion of the Dongguan furniture fair and, to be open and honest, the possibility of opening the license production for sales in other countries can only be discussed with Musterring after the Chinese market has been successfully developed with this recently launched collection.
